The pediatrics staff of Cowles Clinic is composed of just a handful of employees: two physicians and a small reception staff. Our goal is to know each family personally, and to bring efficient, effective, timely and personalized care to all our lake area families!
Full-time pediatric medical services are provided by Chris Bassett, MD. Dr. Bassett is a board-certified,
Georgia licensed pediatrician. He attended the University of Florida for both his undergraduate and doctorate degrees, and graduated from medical school with Honors for Special Achievement in Pediatrics in 1998. He continued his studies with a pediatrics residency at T. C. Thompson Children's Hospital in Chattanooga, TN. He became Board Certified in Pediatrics in October 2001, and recertified in October 2008. Dr. Bassett has five daughters, and also found time to serve as a Major in the Air Force before joining the Cowles Clinic physician staff in 2006. He is happy to be living his dream of "being a small-town pediatrician" where everybody knows his name. His special interests include asthma and allergic diseases, dermatological (skin) problems, infectious disease, trauma, and "anything to do with babies".
